Set up leave, attendance, and working schedules for your whole organization - all from one place.
Leave and Attendance Settings is where administrators configure the rules behind leave, attendance, and working hours. Once these are set up, PrimeHR applies them automatically to every leave request, attendance record, and payroll run, so everything stays consistent and accurate without manual tracking.
How to Access Leave and Attendance Settings
Log in to the Admin Panel.
Go to Settings → Organization Settings → Leave and Attendance Settings.
What you can configure
This section has four areas:
Leave Types - the kinds of leave your employees can take, such as Casual, Sick, or Earned Leave, and the rules for each
Leave Policy - organization-wide rules for applying for and using leave, such as notice periods, the Sandwich Policy, and annual resets
Attendance - how attendance is tracked, including biometric machines, geofencing, late and early rules, and overtime
Shift Mode - your working days, working hours, full-day and half-day hours, and single or multiple shifts
Where to start
If you’re setting up PrimeHR for the first time, we recommend this order:
Shift Mode - set your working days and hours first, since leave and attendance are calculated from them.
Leave Types - create the leave types your organization offers.
Leave Policy - set the rules for how leave is applied.
Attendance - set up tracking, attendance rules, and overtime.
Why it helps
All leave, attendance, and scheduling rules in one place
Rules are applied automatically, the same way for every employee
Leave and attendance data flows straight into payroll
Fewer manual corrections and payroll errors
