Balance Logs shows a full history of everything that's affected your leave balance - leave credited to you, leave used, and any manual adjustments - so you can always see exactly how you arrived at your current balance.
Filters
Narrow down the transaction history using:
From Date / To Date - view transactions within a specific date range
Transaction Type - filter by Credit or Debit
Source - filter by where the transaction came from (e.g., Monthly Recurring Credit, Leave Request Approved, Manual Credit)
Click Clear Filters to reset and see the full history again.
Transaction History
Every row in the table represents one balance change, with these details:
Date & Time - when the transaction happened
Leave Type - which leave type was affected (e.g., Casual Leave, Earned Leave)
Type - whether leave was credited (added) or debited (deducted)
Source - what caused the transaction:
Monthly Recurring Credit - automatic leave credited each month
Leave Request Approved - leave deducted after a request was approved
Manual Credit - leave added manually by an admin
Amount - how much leave was added or removed (e.g., +2, -1)
Balance Before - your leave balance just before this transaction
Balance After - your leave balance right after
Initiated By - who triggered the change (shows the admin's name and employee ID for manual actions; blank for automatic system credits)
Description - a short note explaining the transaction (e.g., "Monthly recurring leave credit for 2026-07," "Admin approved leave request")
Example, in plain terms: if you see a row showing Casual Leave, Debit, -2, with balance going from 7.5 to 5.5, that means 2 days of Casual Leave were deducted from your balance after a leave request was approved.
This gives you a clear, transaction-by-transaction record - useful if your balance ever looks different than expected and you want to see exactly what changed it.
