Create the groups, ledgers, and mappings payroll needs in Tally - automatically, in one step.
The Auto Setup Wizard builds the accounting structure payroll needs in your Tally company, so you don’t have to create it by hand. Run it once, before your first payroll sync, and PrimeHR will be ready to post salary entries to the right ledgers in Tally.
What Auto Setup creates
Three groups in Tally:
Employees - holds a ledger for each employee
Statutory Liabilities - holds ledgers for statutory deductions, such as PF, ESIC, PT, and TDS
Salary Expenses - holds ledgers for salary costs, such as Basic and HRA
A ledger for each of your salary components
Default mappings that link each PrimeHR salary component to its Tally ledger
Before you start
Auto Setup needs a successful connection test. If you haven’t tested the connection yet, the tab shows: “Please test the connection successfully before running auto-setup.” Go back to Connection Settings, click Test Connection, and return once it passes.
How to Run Auto Setup
Go to Settings → Organization Settings → Tally Integration, and open the Auto Setup tab.
Click Run Auto Setup.
Wait for the setup to finish.
Open Tally Prime and check that the new groups and ledgers have been created.
Run Auto Setup only once, before your first payroll sync.
