Connect PrimeHR to Tally Prime and choose which integration features to turn on.
Connection Settings tells PrimeHR where to find Tally Prime and which integration features to use. This is the first step in setting up Tally Integration - nothing else works until the connection is tested and saved.
Before you start
Make sure Tally Prime is open and running on the computer you’re connecting to, with your company loaded.
How to Connect PrimeHR to Tally
Go to Settings → Organization Settings → Tally Integration, and open the Connection Settings tab.
Enter the Tally IP and Tally Port.
Turn on Enable Tally Integration.
Turn on Auto Sync Payroll and Import Sync from Tally, if you want to use them.
Click Test Connection and wait for the result.
Once the test succeeds, click Save Settings.
Always run Test Connection first - Auto Setup stays locked until a connection test succeeds.
Connection Settings
Tally IP (default: localhost) - the address of the computer where Tally Prime is running. Use localhost if Tally is on the same computer you’re using; otherwise, enter that computer’s IP address.
Tally Port (default: 9000) - the port Tally Prime uses to accept connections
Enable Tally Integration (default: Off) - the main switch that turns Tally Integration on for your organization
Auto Sync Payroll (default: Off) - automatically sends payroll to Tally once it’s approved
Import Sync from Tally (default: Off) - when you save, imports your Chart of Accounts, Bank Accounts, Clients/Vendors, and Products & Services from Tally into PrimeHR
