Task

Overview

Assign tasks to your field team and track every one from start to finish - all from a single view.

Tasks lets managers and administrators assign work to field employees and follow its progress in real time. Every task shows its scheduled time alongside when it actually started and finished, so you can see at a glance what's on track, what's running late, and what's done.

How it works

  1. Assign the task - pick the task type, employee, client or site, and schedule.

  2. The employee starts it - the status changes from Not Started to In Progress.

  3. The employee completes it - the status changes to Completed, and the actual start and completion times are recorded.

  4. Cancel if needed - a task can be marked as Cancelled at any point if it's no longer required.

How to Assign a Task

  1. Log in to the Admin Panel.

  2. Go to Field Tracking → Tasks → Tasks.

  3. Click + Assign Task.

  4. Fill in the task details (see below).

  5. Click Save.

The task then appears in the task list with a Not Started status.

Task Details

Depending on how the task is set up, you can specify:

  • Task Type - the kind of task being assigned

  • Employee - the field employee who will carry out the task

  • Client/Site - where the task needs to be done

  • Scheduled Start Date & Time - when the task should begin

  • Scheduled End Date & Time - when the task should be finished

Task Status

The status summary at the top shows how many tasks are in each stage:

  • Not Started - assigned, but not yet started

  • In Progress - the employee has started working on it

  • Completed - the task is done

  • Cancelled - the task is no longer required

Find specific tasks using:

Filters can be combined to narrow down the list further.

Task List

For each task, the list shows:

  • Task Type/Name

  • Assigned Employee

  • Scheduled Start and End - when the task was planned

  • Actual Start and Completion Time - when it really happened

  • Completion Status

Task Actions

Depending on your permissions, you can:

  • View - see the full task details

  • Edit - update the task information

  • Delete - remove the task permanently
